Dr. Khamis Obaid Al-Ajmi, President of the Arab Private Schools Federation (APSF), welcomed a delegation from the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) led by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif Mohamed, Assistant Secretary-General of the CAEU at Doha Office on 16 Aug 2024. The visit aimed to gain insights into the APSF’s impactful initiatives and services designed to elevate private education across Arab nations. The delegation was given an in-depth presentation showcasing the Federation's pivotal role in advancing private education through a variety of training programmes and innovative educational initiatives.
KNO School Al Rumais organised a press conference on 14 August 2024 in the newly inaugurated state-of-art auditorium. His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed bin Rashid Al Balushi. Member of the Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Committee in the Shura Council, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Tamkeen Education is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Journalist Association (OJA) on 16 July 2024 in Al Rumais Hall, near the KNO School Al Rumais that will be opened in the near future.
In a significant move to enhance sports tourism in Oman, Mr. Sadiq Al Ajmi, CEO of Tamkeen Tourism, has signed an agreement with Mr. Hani Abouelezz, CEO of 1 Premier. This partnership aims to open access to prime sports and aquatics facilities at Jawharat Resorts to a wider range of participants globally.
The Tamkeen Forum on the Future of Education: Pathways and Innovations was conducted on May 16, 2024, at the Jawharat Al Rumais Resort, next to KNO Schools in Barka, South Al Batinah Governate. The forum attracted over 200 educators, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss transformative educational strategies. His Excellency, Engineer Masoud Bin Sayeed Bin Hashim Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, emphasising the critical role of innovative education pathways in cultivating future leaders.
Aligned with internationally recognised academic standards, these training sessions were carefully designed to address key areas of improvement identified through ongoing assessments and feedback mechanisms. From refining teaching techniques to optimising administrative workflows, every aspect of school operations was meticulously scrutinised and fine-tuned to ensure optimal performance and effectiveness.
KNO School Al Rumais, accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education, recently underwent an inspection by the Ministry of Education team. This marks a significant milestone in ensuring the quality and readiness of our upcoming educational facility.
The inaugural KNO Schools’ Marathon held on February 23, 2024, was a resounding success, witnessing enthusiastic participation from nearly 1,000 individuals across various age groups and categories. The marathon aimed to promote an active lifestyle and community engagement.

55 budding football stars from the Tamkeen Sports Academy, accompanied by 15 dedicated staff members, embarked on an 8-day adventure in Shiraz, Iran, commencing 23 January 2024.

Keeping in the ethos of the Tamkeen Group towards building better society, the KNO School Khabourah offered financial support to the Omani Association for Persons with Disabilities in Sohar on 27 Dec 2023.
The KNO School Leadership Camp was meticulously organised by the Tamkeen Group at their idyllic Jawaharat Bidiyah Resort (JBR) from 21 to 23 December 2023. During this immersive experience, our students delved into a diverse array of activities including dynamic Zumba sessions, engaging creativity workshops, and invaluable leadership skill development opportunities.
A team from the Parents’ Council of the KNO School Khabourah headed by Mr Ali bin Saif Al Afani, the President of Council visited Al Rumais and Bidiya on 08 Dec 2023. They reviewed the progress of the construction of the KNOSTEAM School, Al Rumais and KNOLeadership School, Bidiya. The team was briefed about the various facilities that would be available in these two sites to ensure a conducive education and learning environment. The team visited the mock classroom at each location to enable them to have a feel of the classroom experience. The team were also briefed about various initiatives and units of the Tamkeen Group that would make educational eco-system a productive and fruitful one.
The picturesque and fascinating Jawaharat Wasil Resort (Bidiya Green Homes) of Tamkeen Group was the chosen venue for the prestigious and innovative NASA Space Application Hackathon 2023, conducted by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Ibra on 07 and 08 Oct 2023.
Our two campuses for KNOSTEAM School Rumais and KNOLeadership Bidiya are getting ready at a fast pace. The high-quality world-class infrastructure will be ready in the next couple of months. The concrete work is almost complete and internal works are in progress. The progress of these premises is being very closely monitored at each step to ensure the highest standard of building construction as per the detailed and well thought out plans. These premises, when completed, would boast of creating a very good ambience and environment for aiding concentration and learning. We are excited as much as you are for early completion of the invigorating educational institutions
